About Onimusha Guide

Onimusha Guide (onimushaguide.com) is an independent, unofficial fan guide for Onimusha: Way of the Sword — the swordplay action game from CAPCOM starring Miyamoto Musashi, set in an Edo-period Kyoto twisted by Malice. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CAPCOM.

What we cover

We focus on the questions players actually search for, and keep each page tight and practical:

• Combat — the full system explained: parry, deflect, Issen and Break Issen, the eight sword techniques and the three Oni Armaments.
• Characters & enemies — every confirmed character, from Musashi and his allies to rivals like Sasaki Ganryu and all seven Genma types, with the official voice cast.
• Locations & setting — the confirmed world, from Kiyomizu-dera Temple to Mount Oe, plus the Dark Mass story mechanic.
• Boss strategy — a written, step-by-step guide to beating Sasaki Ganryu at Kiyomizu-dera.
• The free demo — how to download it on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store, and how to claim the save reward.
• Release info, editions & PC specs — the confirmed release date and platforms, Standard / Deluxe / Premium Deluxe compared, and the official system requirements.

How we source information

Our goal is to be useful without guessing. We separate confirmed facts from hands-on impressions:

• Official details — release date, platforms, editions, prices and system requirements — come from CAPCOM's official channels and the PlayStation Blog.
• Gameplay tips and boss strategy come from hands-on play of the public demo.
• Where sources disagree, or something isn't officially confirmed, we say so plainly rather than presenting a guess as fact. Approximate figures (such as demo length) are labelled as approximate.

As the full game releases and more is confirmed, we expand coverage based on real player questions rather than padding pages for their own sake.

A note on the demo phase

Right now the game is in its pre-launch and demo window, so this guide concentrates on the demo and the run-up to launch. Full-game walkthroughs, all-boss guides and collectibles will be added once the game is out and the details are confirmed.
