Step-by-step route
Enter the temple grounds
Follow the long temple wall from Kamo River - East. Open the paired wooden gate with Cross, cross the pond courtyard and take the side passage through the roots.
Check: Reach the blocked Dharma Hall after clearing the courtyard Genma.
Destroy the first Weaver
Reveal the threads with L2 + R2. Follow the courtyard past the small building, climb the curved root and drop into the walled recess. Shoot the Weaver on the wall with the Oni Bow.
Check: The first Weaver vanishes and Musashi says there is one left.
Destroy the second Weaver
Climb back over the root and follow the path to the bell tower. Clear the enemies, look up beneath the high root arch and shoot the hanging Weaver.
Check: The objective changes to Enter the Dharma Hall.
Defeat Ifuu
Return to the hall and fight Ifuu. Defend against his cleaver swings, counter after the swing, and make space for his leaps. Shoot the exposed pouch during his wind attack and use the Square prompt when he is staggered.
Check: Finish the battle and dialogue for Story Complete.
Windswept Kennin-ji takes you through the occupied temple grounds to Ifuu — Fearsome Gale. This route resumes the existing temple investigation after Patching up the Pouch and ends at the story's completion screen. It covers the two Weaver locations and a practical approach to the boss, rather than every collectible or attack variation.
Inputs use the displayed PlayStation layout: Cross (×), Square (□) and Circle (○). Follow your displayed bindings if remapped.
Reach Kennin-ji Temple
Track Windswept Kennin-ji — Investigate Kennin-ji Temple on the map. At a Spirit Mirror, select Travel → Eastern Kyoto → Kamo River - East and confirm with Cross.

Follow the lane with the long plaster temple wall on your left and the raised red wooden building on your right. Deal with the floating heads and the enemy attacking from the building above; aim the Oni Bow and hold and release R2 to shoot enemies out of sword reach.
For an optional rescue before entering the temple, look for the thatched hut and fenced vegetable patch beside the road. Go around the cart leaning against the fence to its opening. Defeat the Genma threatening the woman in the vegetable rows, then approach her and press Cross — Talk. Her thanks award Cloudy Sake × 1. Leave by the fence opening and return to the temple wall to continue the investigation.
Continue along the wall to the paired wooden gate between two stone lanterns. Press Cross — Open, then follow the stone path inside. The next courtyard has a pond, a curved stone bridge and roots covering the buildings.
Cross the pond courtyard as Ifuu and Burai's voices carry from the temple. Your objective becomes Investigate the temple grounds. Take the side opening in the perimeter wall, beside the barrels and broken wood, then follow the passage through the large roots.

Clear the Genma in the next courtyard. Against the large armored enemy, use Triangle + Circle — Oni Strength to break its protection, then attack when it is open. Leave enough room to evade the other enemies while facing its swings.
Find the first Weaver beyond the curved root
Approach the Dharma Hall's blocked entrance above the stone steps. Use L2 + R2 — Oni Vision to reveal the red threads stretching across the courtyard. Follow their sources to the Weavers; shooting a nearby rooftop enemy does not remove these threads.

Move through the courtyard past the small white-plaster building with wooden lattice panels and an open doorway. Defeat the Genma around its entrance. Follow the path beside the building back toward the stone terrace at the hall; the room and its side alley also contain optional loot.
Beside the terrace, look for the broad, curved root forming a ramp near the red-leaved tree. Climb onto it and cross over the root mass. Drop into the narrow recess against the outer plaster wall.

Use Oni Vision if needed and face the wall. The first Weaver hangs against it, near the bamboo frames and red-leaved tree. Aim the Oni Bow, hold R2 and release to shoot the creature itself. It disappears, and Musashi confirms one to go.

Shoot the second Weaver near the bell tower
Climb back over the same curved root to return to the courtyard. Follow the path around the root-covered wall to the wooden bell tower on a raised stone base. Clear the group of Genma around its steps, pots and baskets.
Continue to the high arch made from intertwined roots beyond the bell tower. Look up beneath the arch: the second Weaver hangs well above the path, with its red thread leading back toward the hall. Reveal it with Oni Vision and shoot it with the Oni Bow from the ground.

After it disappears, wait for Enter the Dharma Hall. Follow the path past the small shrine, bamboo fencing and stone lanterns back to the hall's stone steps. Go through the cleared entrance to start the encounter.
Defeat Ifuu in the Dharma Hall
The boss bar reads Ifuu — Fearsome Gale. Burai speaks during this story, but this fight's target is Ifuu.
Keep Ifuu and his large cleaver in view. Hold L1 to guard, then use short Square attacks after his swing finishes. For a Deflect, keep L1 held and press Cross just before the strike connects. When Musashi's blade is in the Blazing State, this is a useful opportunity to follow Shizuka's advice and Deflect the next incoming strike before counterattacking.
If Ifuu backs away and leaps toward you, stop attacking and use Circle to evade, leaving room for the landing and follow-up swing. Resume your attacks once you can see that opening. Staying pressed against the doorway makes it harder to create that space.
During his wind attack, watch for the large pouch on his back swelling with purple markings. When it is exposed, aim the Oni Bow at the pouch and hold and release R2. Be ready to return to defense as he comes back into melee range.

When Ifuu staggers and the Square prompt appears over the glowing weak point, move close and press Square to land the punish. The fight continues if he still has health afterward. Absorb released souls with L2 when you have a safe gap, then repeat the defense-and-counter cycle until he falls.
Finish the story
After defeating Ifuu, collect the released souls and let the exchange with Burai finish. Story Complete — Windswept Kennin-ji confirms the endpoint inside the Dharma Hall.
The next story is An Immortal Talent — Speak with Takamura. Leave the hall and return to Rokudo-chinnoji Temple for that conversation.
